ALEXANDRIA, VA – Ricci Communications recently launched a new, highly interactive web site for PSA Security Network, the world’s largest electronic security cooperative with more than 200 electronic security systems integrators, aligning them with over 200 manufacturing vendor partners. PSA generates $1.4 billion in sales annually in security systems design, installation, integration and maintenance of access control, video surveillance, intrusion detection, fire, and life safety systems.
Ricci Communications provided consulting, copywriting, design and production for the Web site, working closely with PSA Security Networks’ senior management to develop a site that reflected the quality and progressive attributes of the organization. The result was a Web site that incorporated its branding rules from the recently published Branding Guide, including the PSA logo, colors and messaging. The structure and navigation were redeveloped to ease navigation and expedite visitors’ access to information. Additionally, Ricci Communications created interactive environments throughout the site using Flash elements and segmenting information into user-specific sections each with unique messaging and design characteristics.
The PSA Security Network’s web site serves as its primary communication channel for members, including direct portal access to its more than 75,000 products and an average of $300,000 in daily sales.
The site includes a secure area, where access is allowed only with a valid user name and password. Once admitted, the user may immediately update their information, run queries on other members, or conduct a variety of business development activities.
In addition, additional functionality was developed, including registration, survey and e-commerce capabilities. The entire site was built in an extremely robust content management solution (CMS) that allows even the least technologically savvy person to immediately update, add and revise the site content and images, as well as create forms and surveys, in real-time.
