ALEXANDRIA, VA – For the second straight year, the Points of Light Foundation, a foundation that engages and mobilizes millions of volunteers who to help solve serious social problems in thousands of communities, contracted with Ricci Communications to launch an email campaign for its annual National Conference on Volunteering and Service. In addition, Points of Light Foundation also contracted with Ricci Communications to create its conference registration direct mail piece for the conference.
To create consistency, the design team worked with the client to create a cover concept for direct mail piece. The eight-page, self-mailing brochure incorporates the conference theme as well as images of previous events and the host city, Seattle, to capture attention and attract registrations. The brochure provides general information and encourages recipients to visit the conference Web site for more details and to register. The piece also includes a perforated form for mail and fax registration.
The design and content of the conference registration brochure provided the concept for the first phase of the e-marketing campaign. Ricci Communications created a template that could be revised to allow the Points of Light Foundation to easily customize and distribute thousands of emails with varied designs and messaging. Ricci Communications provided list research and acquisition support, while also managing the launching and tracking for the e-marketing efforts.
